September Stamp Camp cards
Straight Hair
This is our Pretty Rebecca. She got the great idea that she wanted to straighten her hair so I bought a straightener and went to work. Now our little Rebecca (boo as we call her) has thick curly hair (picture 1) so it took a while but we finally got it looking pretty straight. I dont think we can have totally stick straight without a ton of product but she was super happy with the results. So she wants to have her picture take for school in this shirt and straight hair. She is 12 but looks older in the 2nd picture. However she does it.. she is beautiful to us.
Logans 2nd Birthday
He blew out his candle all by himself. Last birthday he was a mess with frosting... this year he decided that he didnt want to be messy. Auntie Cathy was happy with that.
Of course he loved all his other gifts but hey he is 2 years old so he has to focus on just a couple of things at a time. So Happy Birthday to our sweet Logan.

My hive is bigger than your hive
Ok so this started as a tiny little thing that the girls noticed. I figured it being up 2 stories we would just let it be. Ok well that was dumb. Now the thing is over a foot long and has lots of giant hornets working away. I have to say it is sorta cool. The neat thing is that it is upstairs above the garage so I went inside and was able to take this cool picture that I am sure most people dont get. On the screen side they have plastered their mud on it so you cant see the hive but on the glass side you can see all the different layers. I did see some inside but you cant tell in this pic. I am hoping that when it frosts and they all leave I can somehow take it down for the girls to take to show and tell. My hive is bigger than your hive. hahaha So the big fellas are up high and have not really bothered anyone. We do find the ones that are on their last hours walking the ground and we smash them and rush them to the end. Shoes are a must for the kids to play in the driveway. I hear you can get spray.. haha what a joke. I would have to stand on a picnic table directly below them to even reach it. So someone said.. well open the upstairs window and spray thru that.. well that is great and all but the hive front door is in the front.. not the back.... and do you think I want to come back out of the garage with a hundred angry hornets flying around. No thank you. You would have to spend the night in the garage. So we wait.... and wait.. and wait... and it grows and grows and grows. haha If it gets bad we will call someone but in the meantime we will take our chances.

Simple card and Purse card
Just 2 cards that we are doing for camp. The first is using designer paper and my ever favorite the scallop punch. I used 2 circle punches behind it then one of the new buttons available in the new catalog. This card is a super easy one that you can make multiples in a short amount of time. Just think... you could whip out 25 cards in no time for something like Thank yous, holiday or even invites.
The 2nd is using the round tab punch folded in half to make the bag part. The handles are the small oval then the large oval cut over that. The clasps are the word window punch and the 3/4 circle punch. I used brads as the locks. I also used my cuttle bug for the back ground. This idea came from pictures of the SU convention that my upline took. I am not sure who came up with the purse idea but it is so cute.
Well I have 2 more to take pictures of and then they will be on the blog soon. They are also cards from this weekends camp.
Until next time.... Happy stamping

My stamping area part III
Ok so the back wall is a giant piece of pegboard which I love. I need to see what I have or I forget it. So with lots of hooks and the doll rod I can see lots of goodies. Can you tell I love my punches? I do. I also have my little baskets that hold my minis and watercolor crayons. Another one holds my wheel handles. I bought the crop a dile case at a different store but ours does not have one. Makes it a snap to hang it up and out of the way. But if you dont make sure it is snapped close you are going to be hunting down all those tiny pieces that come with the case.
The hanging containers at the bottom pop open and they hold my business cards, extra black spots, and jumbo ink cartridges. I found those at Menards. Not my favorite store but when you have a home you have to fix things and therefore visit Menards. Why not see what they have for my stamps :)
Ok I am getting a bit tired after the long weekend. I will finish posting the rest of the pictures tomorrow. Still have to show you each of the side walls and what goodies I keep there. Till then. Happy Stamping
My stamp area continued
The next part of my stamp area is my corner where I keep a lot of my paper and retired sets. I have 2 of the Ikea CD shelves that hold retired sets that I sell for 50% off. If you are interested in seeing what I have let me know at jonna1967@gmail.com
I use the wire cubes and I added the shelves in between using those nylon ties that I found in Dan's workshop :) . In this area I put my scrappin kits, die cuts, designer papers, forms and other paper type things. There are 2 paper sorters stacked on top of each other that I believe I found a long time ago at Office Max and I am sure you can still find them. Now my problem is this whole "in color" family issue. I now have to double up on slots since I dont really have room to add another sorter. I have to get the ol label maker out and put the names on the slots. But it is easy to see what I need and to match colors as I choose. Of course you see my Cuttlebug. Love my bug. I have a tin next to it that holds my embossing folders using a recipe style theme. Simple storage but it works for me.
My stamping area
Hello again. I finally put away all the projects and scraps and took pictures of my area. It is shared with the rest of the family being the dining room but it is a large room so it works out ok. I hold my classes in this area because I have the added counter space and a tall square table. My husband Dan built in the corner area to make a closet of sorts. I have a large bookcase on one side and a smaller on on the other side. I took pictures to give you an idea of what I do to keep my stuff organized..... ok well as organized as I can get at the moment.
To start off with I have a long counter that Dan put in with cabinets below. My 2 daughters have taken over half of it with their craft "stuff" but I get the other half. Funny thought... My 5 year old Jenna calls it Arts and Craps time... yes I spelled that correct. Cracks me up when she says it. Dont worry I wont let her go to HS saying Arts and Craps.
Ok back to the one side of the room... I used the 3 mini drawer holders from Walmart to keep my itty bitty stuff like embossing powders, sponges, Sharpie markers (away from the 5 year and 2 year old) and other goodies like that. This is being held up by a shelf from Ikea that is supposed to hold CDs. At the other end I have 2 color caddys. They are a bit pricey so I only had 1 for a long time. It seemed that mine was wobbly with the extention kit so I saved up and recently got a 2nd one. Much better. I now have all 3 sets of the "in colors" and my black/brown/white pads in one and the 4 basic families in the other. I have matching refills up on top. Dont worry ladies.. this was a slow process and I firmly believe in the Fly Lady and her set the timer and see what you get done method... So see what you can organize in 30 minute in your area.
Ok I will end this post and go to the next. I have more pictures :)
